Guidelines

Tee times will be assigned at the start of each event.

Higher skilled players will complete 9 holes.

Others will play according to the discretion of the series director.

The format of play will vary from event to event.

Players will carry their bags, which should contain a minimum of clubs (there is no need to have 14 clubs for this series…the less, the better).

Players will play “ready golf,” move as quickly as possible and observe golf etiquette.

Parents should refrain from walking the course (unless assigned by series director).

Maximum of double par and three-putts per hole will apply.
Also, lost balls and out of bounds will be played as hazards – drop at nearest point with a one stroke penalty.

Inexperienced players will play the course from “shortened tees.”

Players should arrive with a healthy snack (avoid salt and sugar) and a bottle of water.

Stop-in  at pro shop to introduce yourself and thank them for the opportunity.

Please keep in mind that the six golf courses have given us this opportunity.

Respect the golf courses and those working with us.

Be sure to thank the golf professionals and club managers at the site and write a thank-you note the following day (addresses will be provided).

   b. Personal thanks from THE PARTICIPANTS PRIOR TO PLAYING:  It is always a positive trait to walk into the pro shop, introduce yourself and thank the staff  for hosting you. It may seem like a small act but it goes a long way. We usually meet at the putting green and/or near the first teeing ground of the first hole.
3. LESSONS AND HELP WITH SET-UP: ALL THE GGG PUBLIC COURSES AND SOME OF THE PRIVATE CLUBS OFFER REDUCED PRICES FOR JUNIOR LESSONS. Their websites are available above or at the GGG blog.  Players and parents interested in some self-help in between now and your next event: visit www.uskidsgolf.com  The link is listed on the GGG blog and the U.S. Kids instruction booklets available for purchase which we have found helpful. Stick-to-Sports has a brand new golf book out. The link is available on the GGG blog.
